The Story Behind Crafiya

 Why I Started This Brand

My name is Nasim Malek, and the story of Crafiya began long before the brand itself was born.

Nearly 27 years ago, while studying Fashion Designing, I was introduced to a world that completely changed the way I looked at fashion and jewellery. During my studies, I learned about the incredible artistry of tribal communities from different parts of the world and India—African Maasai jewellery, Afghan tribal ornaments, Gujarat’s beadwork traditions, Karnataka’s Lambani Banjara embroidery and jewellery, and the timeless vintage craftsmanship of Kutch.
